Arashi Popcorn Live Tour sits on the top of Oricon Charts for 3rd consecutive week! :)

Arashi have topped both the music-DVD and overall DVD charts simultaenously for 2 weeks in a row with their live DVD, “ARASHI LIVE TOUR Popcorn”. Including music, drama, variety and other genres, the total DVD sales for Arashi has reached 7.824 million copies, and getting to 8 million copies for the first time ever is becoming more imminent. It has been 4 months for the same artists to have achieved the top spot in the DVD chart for 2 consecutive weeks, the last time was with “ARASHI ARAFES” (December 2012). For male artists, the last time it was achieved was by Mr.Children with “Mr.Children / Split The Difference” (November 2010).

Arashi have reached the top spot in both music-DVD and overall DVD charts simultaneously with their live DVD, “ARASHI LIVE TOUR Popcorn.” This is their 9th consecutive no.1 DVD (their 11th overall) since “SUMMER TOUR 2007 FINAL Time ~Kotoba no Chikara~” (April 2008), also the first time for an artist to achieve no.1 in both charts 9 times in a row in Oricon history. Including the successive no.1 music-DVD of the year with “ARASHI ARAFES” (December last year, 624k first week), the group also have the record at of DVD total sales at 1st place with “5x10 All the BEST! CLIPS 1999-2009” (October 2009, 893k), as well as the artist with the highest-selling number of DVDs with 7.229 million copies. Footage for the DVD was filmed at Tokyo Dome in December, which was during their 5-Dome tour beginning from November last year until January this year.
